Summer would not really be summer with out S’mores. They have the crunch of the graham cracker, the chew and char of a lovely toasted marshmallow, and of course the richness of chocolate. I like to use Hershey’s chocolate bars chopped up, but feel free to use chocolate chips or your favorite type of chocolate.
Lately there have been quite a few rifts on s’mores, this one is mine. S’mores double Chcocolate no Churn Ice cream.. Here is why it is TOTALLY worth making.
First the ice cream base is deep and chocolatey . Second their are mini graham cracker from Golden Graham cereal, and finally mini marshmallows. Now if you want to really make this authentic, I recommend roasting the mini marshmallow under the broiler for about 1 minute. ***Make sure not to walk away or you will set your marshmallows on fire (don’t ask me how I know that.) Take your toasted marshmallows out and put the whole pan in the freezer to cool for about 30 min to 1 hour. That way they are chilled when you are ready to mix them in.
This recipe really only take about 10 minutes to prep, the rest is waiting for it to freeze. Is it worth the wait? Yes, yes it is… give it a try and you will not regret it.
Fabulous S’mores Double Chocolate & Charred Mallow Easy Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 14 oz Sweetened condensed Milk
- 1/2 cup Unsweetend Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 cup Mini Chocolate Chips Regular chocolate chips or chopped chocolate peices will work
- 1/2 cup Mini Marshmallows (Toasted to your liking) Toa
- 1/2 cup Golden Graham Cereal
Instructions
Toast Marshmallows
- Place parchment on a baking pan. Lay out your 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows on a baking pan
- Turn on your broiler in your oven and place the rack in the middle of the oven.
- Place the pan of marshmallows in the middle rack.
- CAUTION!!! DO NOT WALK AWAY BAKE WITH OVEN DOOR slightly OPEN SO THAT YOU CAN WATCH THESE WILL CATCH ON FIRE IF YOU LEAVE THEM IN THE OVEN.
- Broil for between 1-3 minutes … and remove promplty. (less if you like them slightly toasted longer if you like them more done.
- Take the hot marshmallows out of the oven and place in the freezer for 30min to 1 hour.
Ice Cream
- Add the Heavy whipping cream to a bowl.
- Whip on medium speed until soft peaks form.
- Add in condensed milk and mix until well combined.
- Add in cocoa powder and tell fully combined scrape the bowl mix again making sure is fully combined.
- Take the marshmallows out of the freezer and break up or sprinkle into the ice cream base.
- Using a spatula fold in the chocolate chips, and graham crackers. Until it’s fully Incorporated.
- Spread mixture evenly into a 8 by 8 baking pan.
- Allow to freeze for 6 to 8 hours minimum or overnight.
- Enjoy
