Spiced Pear Whisky Sour
Spiced pears, bitters, lemon and N/A whisky make this drink one of your go to's.
Ingredients
Spiced Pear Simple Syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 pieces Star Anise You can add the spices you prefer if you do not have the listed ones on hand.
- 1 stick cinnamon You can use powdered spice instead of whole spices if that is what you have.
- 1 piece dried or fresh ginger
- 3 peices Allspice
- 2 oz Spiced pear Simple Syrup
- 1 pear ripe and chopped
Spiced Pear Whisky Sour
- 2 oz Spiced Pear Simple Syrup
- 4 oz Whisky or Burbon N/A alternative
- 1 oz Lemon Juice (fresh)
- 3 dashes Bitter (new orleans from all the bitter)
- 2 cups ice
Instructions
Spiced Pear Simple Syrup
- Add sugar, water, and all the spices into the pot.
- Cook till sugar is dissolved.
- Take off heat.
- Add pears and let steep for a least 15 min
- Strain into a mason jar and use for drinks and on top of pancakes or desserts.
Spice Pear Whisky Sour
- Fill a cocktail shaker or mason jar with ice.
- Pour, pear syrup, whisky, bitters, and lemon juice into a cocktail mixer or mason jar
- Close the lid and shake vigorously for about 15-30 seconds.
- Strain into cocktail cups or over ice.
- Garnish with a sliced pear.
- Enjoy.
