Guava, Coconut, & Lime Sparkler both Delightful and Refreshing
Jump to Recipe

Non alcoholic drinks are my jam. I love re creating my favorite alcoholic drinks into equally delicious drinks, sans the alcohol. My husband and I stopped drinking about 4 years ago. You see my husband struggled with not being able to stop drinking once he started. Unfortunately, my drinking was a green light for him to continue to drink. Drinking in our house was causing a lot of discord. Long story short, we got help and we have both stopped drinking.

It has been one of the best decisions of my life. Among the wonderful side effects of sobriety for me are: My home is peaceful, my marriage has gotten significantly better. I feel more healthy, and way more connected in all of my relationships especially immediate family. As if that wasn’t enough, I also don’t have the health issues I was experiencing from drinking. Like, heart palpitations, headaches, next day dizzy spells, and bloating. The only thing I really missed was a nice complex cocktail on a summer evening or on a weekend. You know, something a bit more special than juice, or soda, or even iced tea. I wanted something crafted and delicious. Enter the Guava, Coconut, and Lime Sparkler.

One of the great things about this drink is that it has some of the same flavors that you would get if you were using alcoholic rum, but with out the alcohol. You see when I started this journey of sobriety I wasn’t the only one. Lucky for me, the sober curious movement has gained steam in the last few years. This movement has been joined by those who are tired of how they feel after they drink, or they are pregnant, on medication, or trying to overcome addiction. Whatever the reason you choose to skip alcohol you have more options now then ever.

Let me tell you, there have been some amazing non alcoholic spirits made by brands like Seedlip, Ritual Zero proof, and Lyres, to name a few. Additionally near beer and non alchoholic wine has improved greatly. With these new amazing resources and a little imagination I have been able to make so many delicious non alcoholic cocktails that have definitely filled that void. I don’t even miss drinking.

This cocktail is one of those it as delightful and refreshing as it is easy to make. It is also a mocktail that you don’t necessary have to have the non alcoholic Rum to make it delicious. You could easily try a drop of rum extract or even skip the rum all together. It would still be super tasty. I recommend you give this amazing drink a try, and if you are curious about this drink or sobriety feel free to click the contact me below I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
